Bio: 
Miguel Roldán, since 1988 is principal together with Mercè Berengué, Roldán+Berengué, arqts. R+B, architects  work in low cost and sustainable residential architecture, corporate headquarters, public and private facilities (educational, health, civic, cultural), rehabilitation of historic and industrial buildings, urbanism and planning. 
 
Miguel Roldán founded and has been the Director since 1998 of the Barcelona Architecture Center, BAC, designing and hosting in Barcelona Study Abroad Programs for international architecture universities, among others, Texas A&M University (USA), Clemson University (USA), Roger Williams University (USA), Penn State University (USA), ITESM and University of Monterrey (Mexico), Unitec (Honduras). 
 
In 2012 he launched BAC Japan program, designing and coordinating Spring intensive programs with group of students from Shibaura Institute, Chiba University, Tama Art University, Toyo University, Tokyo University of Arts, Kyoto University of Art & Design, Hosei University and Tokyo University of Science among others. 
 
He is currently Adjunt professor of Clemson University School of Architecture, since 2000, Texas A&M University College of Architecture since 2000 and Penn State University since 2015. 
 
The design-centered academic peda­gogy of the programs under his direction leverages off of his professional experience as an innovative architect, advancing both design skills and understanding of architecture and urbanism as an international language. 
 
Miguel Roldan is also currently Member of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) since 2015.
